Ducati has launched the Scrambler Hashtag in Europe. It is based on the Scrambler Sixty2, which has a 399 cc L-twin engine that makes 40.3 bhp and 34.3 Nm of peak torque.

We live in a digital space and more and more manufacturers are selling their vehicle models online. And now, Ducati too has decided to go the same way. The company had teased the Scrambler Hashtag (we believe the name will strike a chord with the millennials) and it was unveiled today and will be sold online on Scramblerducati.com (Ducati Scrambler’s official website). Initially, the Scrambler Hashtag will be sold only in France, Italy, Portugal and Spain and later in other European countries. It is unclear whether the Scrambler Hashtag will be sold in India or not.

Also, the Hashtag will not be manufactured in limited numbers so there is no fear of not getting one, in case you want to buy one. One can book the bike online at a cost of 500 GBP and get a voucher, which the customer needs to take to the nearest Ducati dealership and buy the bike. The price of the bike is set at 6,990 GBP or ₹ 6.3 lakh.

Visually, the Scrambler Hashtag is similar to the regular Scrambler Sixty2, with a blacked out colour scheme and Orange lettering on either side of the fuel tank. Apart from that there are no changes in terms of specifications or features on the Scrambler Hashtag.

The Scrambler Hashtag uses the same engine as the regular Scrambler Sixty2, which is a 399 cc L-twin motor that is air-cooled and makes 40.3 bhp and 34.3 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox.

Ducati is also offering a discount of 20 per cent on accessories and related apparel as well. Unfortunately, we do not see the Scrambler Hashtag coming to India as Ducati does not sell the Scrambler Sixty2 in India, as it will not be able to price it competitively in the country. Nonetheless we would love to see the Scrambler Sixty2 in India at a later date.
