The 2018 edition of the Honda Dio is available in two variants – standard and deluxe – with prices starting at Rs. 51,292 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2018 edition of the Honda Dio scooter, at a price of ₹ 51,292 (ex-showroom Delhi). Honda has announced that the 2018 Dio is now available across all Honda dealerships. The 2018 Honda Dio will also be available in a new deluxe variant, which is priced at ₹ 53,292 (ex-showroom Delhi). The 2018 Honda Dio gets a premium LED headlamp and position lamp, as well as a four-in-one lock with seat opening switch, and nine colour options across the standard and deluxe variants.
The Dio also gets a new metal muffler protector, while the Deluxe variant gets a digital instrument panel with three-step “Eco Speed Indicator” as well as a service reminder and gold-finished rims. The standard variant of the 2018 Honda Dio is available in five shades – Vibrant Orange, Pearl Sports Yellow, Sports Red, Candy Jazz Blue and Matte Axis Grey Metallic. The deluxe variant is available in four shades – Dazzle Yellow Metallic, Matte Marshal Green Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
“Taking ahead the 15-year-old legacy of the Dio, the 2018 avataar is available in two variants. More youthful than ever, with stylish new looks, new digital meter, three-step Eco Speed indicator and service due indicator, the new Dio raises the bar even further. The Dio is also the largest exported scooter from India, and has crossed the 5 lakh exports milestone,” said Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd.
The 2018 Honda Dio is powered by the same 110 cc engine, which makes 8 bhp of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 8.9 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The Honda Dio gets a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and has a claimed top speed of 83 kmph. The 2018 Honda Dio rides on 10-inch wheels with 130 mm drum brakes on both ends with combined braking system.
