Following the increasing trend for the orange colour among carmakers, Toyota India has recently introduced a new Inferno Orange shade for the Etios Liva dual tone variant. Like the existing Vermilion Red and Super White colour options, the new Inferno Orange Etios Liva also gets black as the combination colour, also, the Ultramarine Blue dual tone colour which was introduced at the time of the launch is no longer on offer. Available in both, petrol and diesel trim options, the dual tone Etios Liva is offered in four variants – V, VX, VD and VXD, which are priced from ₹ 5.85 lakh to ₹ 7.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Visually, except for the new orange shade, rest all features of the Toyota Etios Liva Dual Tone remain unchanged. So, in addition to the black top-half of the car, other exterior elements like the grille, bumpers, ORVMs and rear spoiler also get the black treatment. The car continues to come with the same 10-spoke diamond-cut alloys, carbon fibre-styling for the front bumper, and chrome bezels for the front fog lamps. The Etios Liva Dual Tone also comes with a sporty rear spoiler and electrically operable ORVMs with integrated turn signal lights.

The interior, on the other hand, receives no change whatsoever. You still get the same dual tone beige and black dashboard with everything positioned at the centre. The cabin also gets steering-mounted audio controls, cooled glove box, and 251-litre boot space. The Etios Liva dual tone gets a bunch of safety features as standard like – dual airbags, ABS with EBD, keyless entry, ISOFIX child seat mounts, driver seat belt and door ajar warning buzzer, and rear defogger. Front fog lamps and reverse sensors are only offered with the VX and VXD trims.

Under the hood, the Toyota Etios Liva Dual Tone trim continues to get the 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.4-litre diesel motor. The former develops 79 bhp and 104 Nm of peak torque, while the oil burner churns out 67 bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. Both come with a five-speed manual gearbox as standard.
